This is the first properly done Portal Conversion completed on a W463A IFS G-Wagen in the US using the super high-quality Portal Conversion Kit from LeTech.
LeTech are the masters of Portal axle implementation on to the Mercedes Benz G class!
The LeTech Portal Kit comes complete with an entire new front subframe, new lower and upper control arms, KW super heavy-duty shocks, and much more.
In addition, this G has been equipped with a LeTech Roof Rack and Ladder with Front Wind Visor, spare tire carrier, and under carriage protection.
This G also uses Vision X lighting controlled by a Trigger 4 Plus Controller and HRE 20” wheels wrapped in Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires.
The vehicle has some incredible ground clearance, 13, 16, 18 and 19 are the numbers:
- 13 inches from the ground to the lowest point on the front lower control arms.
- 16 inches from the ground to the lowest point on the subframe where the control arms mount.
- 18 inches from the ground to the bottom of the diff housing on the rear live axle.
- And an incredible 19 inches from the ground to the center bottom of the front skid plate!
